An intimate look at the life of ‘Little Sparrow’ Edith Piaf (1915-1963). Her mother is an alcoholic street singer, her father a circus performer and her paternal grandmother a madam.
During her unsettling childhood, she lives with each of them. At 20, she's coached by a musician who brings her to the concert halls and finally, fame.
Her constant companions are alcohol and heartache and belie the words her signature song, "Non, je ne regrette rien."
Marion Cotillard won the ‘Leading Actress’ BAFTA at this year’s awards for her portrayal of Edith Piaf.
