Down To Earth (D2E)

The New, Improved Guildhall Arts Centre’s Youth Theatre!

Next Production: West Side Story!

March 27, 2012

About D2E…

The Guildhall Arts Centre opened in 1991 and there’s been a vibrant youth drama scene here ever since, currently lead by the lovely Fiona Kimberley-Pope whose infectious enthusiasm knows no bounds!

We’re in the process of revamping the Guildhall’s Youth Theatre with a new name, logo and lots of extra opportunities, hopefully making it bigger and better than ever.  With our background based firmly in the professional arts industry, we can offer an exciting programme which develops creative and performance skills and offers members the opportunity to learn technical skills, review professional shows, be involved in community arts projects, perform at youth festivals and take part in a full-scale end of year show.

Based within The Guildhall Arts Centre itself, D2E is the only youth drama group in town with direct access to a professional working theatre!  On top of all that, it’s a great place to hang-out, build confidence, make new friends and have fun :)

Classes are as follows:

Junior 8 to 10 years – Tuesdays 4.30pm to 5.30pm, £3.00

Intermediate 11 to 13 years – Fridays 5.00pm to 6.30pm, £3.50

Senior 14 years + – Thursday 7.00pm to 9.00pm, £4.00

PLEASE NOTE: Spring 2012 D2E classes and prices will change to accommodate rehearsals for West Side Story on Tuesday 27 March.  Drama teacher to advise once a rehearsal schedule has been drawn up.
