Grantham Choral Society's next concert will take us for a night at the opera!

From Purcell's Dido's Lament through Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor to Verdi's La Traviata and Nabucco, the programme includes many popular (and few less familiar) choruses and arias.

The choir continues to achieve high standards under its gifted Musical Director David Humphreys. They will be joined by accomplished soloists Grantham-born Helen Winter (Soprano) and Joseph Doody (Tenor), both of whom have vast experience in the world of opera in the UK and beyond. All this will be accompanied by Robert Challinor, currently accompanist to Nottingham University and Chamber Choirs.

The venue is the beautiful old church of St John's Spitalgate, close to Grantham station and with ample parking nearby. That's at 7.30pm on Saturday October 31st (bar opens from 6.30pm).

Tickets are £15 for adults, £5 for students under 25, and free for under 18s. They are available from Grantham Guildhall Box Office, via Ticketsource, or from members of the choir.
