SPACE ODDITY

'Space Oddity' is a digital dance performance created in 2021 by Chantry Dance. The piece is Inspired by, and in homage to the genius of David Bowie, who sadly left us to return to the stars 5 years ago. Created using minimalist filming equipment, and with a nod to the nostalgia of early music videos, 'Space Oddity' sees Ground Control speaking to Major Tom from a burning world, while Tom floats in the void, far away from the troubles of the Earth.

Choreographed by Rae Piper, the piece is danced by Callie Coyle as Ground Control, and Rae Piper as Major Tom.
