Direct from duties at Buckingham Palace, following sell-out concerts and Trooping their Colour last year - the first under the new reign of King Charles lll - the Band of The Welsh Guards is coming to Grantham.
Guards’ musicians will be flashing their Scarlet and Gold as they play for a memorable evening of commemoration and reflection to mark the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden – the battle for the bridges ultimately proving ‘a bridge too far’ - hailed for its unrivalled displays of heroism, bravery and sacrifice.
With stirring music, speakers and military pomp, the evening will have an international flavour with Arnhem’s unique local backstories of British, American and Polish airborne forces’ collaboration in the build up to battle.
Enjoy top class live band music and a performance from 1940’s singer Melody Flyte.
The evening is supported by the Arnhem 1944 Fellowship. All proceeds from the event are going to the Army Benevolent Fund to help soldiers and veterans in need. The event will be all seated.
Licensed Bar.
