Hilary Campbell director Crossing the Atlantic Songs old and new from the old and new worlds The chamber choir Blossom Street bring a programme of songs old and new, popular and serious – a perfect blend for a summer’s evening. Blossom Street performs regularly at major concert halls and festivals, on radio and TV, and has released three critically-acclaimed CDs on the Naxos label. Music by Finzi, Britten and Sullivan is partnered by that of their counterparts across the Atlantic including Copland and Barber.

Overlooking parkland at the edge of the village, St Andrew’s is a landmark in the scenery. Light from high clerestory floods the interior. Dating mainly from the 15th century, the church retained many original features after a heavy restoration. Notable monuments include an Elizabethan table tomb and an elaborate wall monument.
