Professor Brian Foster of Oxford University and violinist Jack Liebeck collaborate on this lecture which highlights Einstein's science and his love of the violin. Einstein's Universe explores Einstein's scientific work on quantum mechanics and begins with an introduction to Einstein's life and involvement with music and how his ideas have shaped our concepts of space, time and the evolution of the Universe. Slides are accompanied by music from J.S. Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, some of Einstein's favourite music and punctuated by other musical interludes of music related to Einstein.
