The Hinsons are a 4th generation family of professional musical performers and educators.

Both Nadia and Nigel started their careers as freelance musicians with major London orchestras and later founded the Veloce Ensemble with which they have toured with classic chamber music repertoire all around the UK. Nigel is a solo recording artist, having created 3 critically acclaimed albums of Clarinet and piano repertoire. They both run the Hinson School of Music which generates skilled young musicians, guiding them through the ABRSM exam system and beyond.

Nadia is in high demand as an ABRSM International examiner and BIFF Adjudicator. Their two children Jake and Sophie were brought up with music at the forefront and went on to study the clarinet and violin at The Royal College and The Royal Academy of Music in London.

Rather exotically, Jake moved to America and is having a wonderful career over there in Property and Sophie is a professional Violinist in London. Sophie is known as a soloist, recording artist and orchestral freelancer, regularly performing with The BBC Symphony Orchestra, The Southbank Sinfonia and is leader of the award-winning Odora Piano Trio.

They have been performing recitals at Grantham Music Club for decades and it is always a pleasure to make a return visit!
