St Peter’s Hill Players Present
PYGMALION by George Bernard Shaw
‘Pygmalion’ is a classic play by one of only two people to have won the Nobel Prize in Literature and an Oscar for the screenplay of this very story.
In this play we meet Professor Henry Higgins who is a phonetics expert. He makes a friendly bet with his colleague Colonel Pickering that he can transform the speech and manners of Eliza Dolittle, a common flower girl, and present her as a lady to fashionable society.
How will he do it?
Will he succeed?
What will become of Eliza?
What lessons will be learnt and by whom?
This could be fun!
Come and discover for yourself.
